Analyzing the Accessibility to
Public Recycling Bins in Yonkers, NY

Calculated the distance between all intersections and the nearest public recycling bins using longitude and latitude coordinates in Yonkers, NY and R. Determined whether that distance was within the computed appropriate threshold and other related/pertinent information. Graphed intersections using colored points based on information gathered utilizing iGraph.

Implement my research and outcome from my recycling project through a design for an interactive map website in which users can interact with and (approved users) modify the website's information to update public recycling information in their city. On the website, my design includes a large map with the points of each public recycling bin, and a pop-up with its location, amount collected in a given time period, distance from the nearest intersection and other pertinent information about its usage.
